In the Summer of 2013, Kinetic was lucky enough to be present and capture KYRS’s Music Festival, known known as MarmotFest! We braved the blinding heat and were able to document every band that performed that day — to some very satisfying results.

KYRS-Thin Air Community Radio is a non-profit, non-commercial community station celebrating 11 years on-air. Since 2003, Thin Air Radio has served the Spokane area with diverse arts, culture, news and music, filling needs that other media do not, providing programming to diverse communities and un-served or underserved groups.

While filming the event, the crew got to talking with the band “Shebear” and within the next 24 hours, we were rushing out to Cheney to get an exclusive performance from the band while they were still in town! Check out that project below!

Based out of Puyallup, WA, SHEBEAR is making waves in the Washington music scene, and it’s easy to see why with this acoustic performance of their song “Drive” (Feat. Julia Johnson). Spark Spokane was fortunate to meet up with the band on Badger Lake, WA to capture this live performance.

The original version of the song can be purchased here:
